When to Apply

Applying for Spring?

If you’re applying for a spring semester (January – May) internship or volunteer opportunity, interviews will begin in late September.

Applying for Summer?

If you’re applying for a summer semester (May – August) internship or volunteer opportunity, interviews will begin as early as November.

Applying for Fall?

If you’re applying for a fall semester (August – December) internship or volunteer opportunity, interviews will begin in late May.

What to Expect

Interning or volunteering with GatorCare Wellness offers university students interested in health a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in promoting and managing employee health programs. This internship/volunteering experience provides exposure to various wellness initiatives, such as walking challenges, health screenings, wellness workshops, and more, allowing students to develop practical skills in program planning, implementation, and evaluation. Additionally, interning in worksite wellness allows students to network with health professionals and gain insights into potential career paths in corporate wellness, public health, and health promotion.

All students of any major are welcome to apply, but internship credit approval is contingent upon your internship coordinator’s confirmation. For questions about credit, reach out to your advisor!

Move it at the Monitor

This program is designed to encourage and educate desk workers on simple, effective habits that support overall health and well-being—right from their workstation. Delivered through short videos, the content is easy to follow, lighthearted, and made to fit into a busy schedule.

Parent Pause

Parent Pause was a 2-week email-based campaign designed for busy parents with kids home for the summer. It provided stress-free wellness tips, affordable meal ideas, childcare hacks, and fun family activities delivered straight to participant’s inboxes!
