Better You Strides

Get rewarded for working on your health and wellness! Complete various activities, earn points, and redeem for your employer's incentive.

Getting Started

Each employer group has their own specific activity requirements and their own incentives. Find your employer group below to explore your program’s details. Regardless of your employer, activities and incentives are provided through Florida Blue’s wellness platform Better You Strides.

For all benefits eligible employees, whether you accepted or waived GatorCare insurance, you will need to create a Better You Strides account in order to participate in the incentive program. Click the button below for detailed instructions on how to get started.

Locations:

UF Health Shands Gainesville

The 2026 Wellness Incentive Program runs from April 1 – September 30, 2026. This program is open to all UF Health Shands benefits-eligible team members. Earn up to $100 in e-gift cards by completing TWO parts of this program.

*UF Health Corporation employees are encouraged to participate in the wellness incentive program and explore our additional wellness programs. At this time, there is no monetary incentive tied to participation.

The 2026 Incentive Requirements Include:

1. Biometric Screening – Earn $25 e-gift card by completing a screening at an onsite event or at a participating Quest Diagnostics Lab (available 6/1 – 9/30/2026).

2. Online Portion – Earn an additional $75 e-gift card by completing ALL-required activities (below).

• Online health assessment
• 300 points & confirm a tobacco-free status within the Better You Strides portal

Important Details:

• This program is open to all UF Health Shands benefits-eligible team members from April 1 – September 30, 2026.
• Parking vouchers are not provided for screening events.
• Participants must be actively employed by UF Health Shands on the date the incentive is processed.
• The e-gift cards will be sent directly from Amazon, so be sure to check your junk/spam folders if you do not see it in your inbox. Participants should expect their incentive to arrive in their email by the end of November.
• All questions regarding the 2026 wellness incentive program must be submitted to the Florida Blue Wellness Coordinator, prior to 12/31/2026.

UF College of Medicine Gainesville

The 2026 Wellness Incentive Program runs from April 1 – August 31, 2026. This program is open to GatorCare members who work for the College of Medicine.

The 2026 Incentive Requirements Include:

1. Biometric Screening – make sure to sign in at the College of Medicine table at any Atrium screening events.

Important Details:

• Participants must be actively employed by College of Medicine Gainesville on the date the incentive is processed.
• The e-gift cards will be sent directly from Amazon, so be sure to check your junk/spam folders if you do not see it in your inbox. Participants should expect their incentive to arrive in their email by the end of November.
• All questions regarding the 2026 wellness incentive program must be submitted to the Florida Blue Wellness Coordinator, prior to 12/31/2026.

UFICO

The 2026 Wellness Incentive Program runs from April 1 – October 31, 2026. This program is open to GatorCare members who work for the UFICO.

The 2026 Incentive Requirements Include:

1. Biometric Screening – Scheduled for May 14 at 8 a.m.
2. Online Portion
   • Online health assessment
   • Flu shot
   • Tobacco-free status
   • 300 points in Better You Strides platform

GatorGradCare

The 2026 Wellness Incentive Program ran from February 1 until March 31, 2026, and has now concluded.

2026 Wellness Incentive Program Details:

1. Complete a biometric screening
2. Complete an online health assessment

Important Dates and Details:

• Participants should expect their incentive to arrive in their email by the end of May. The e-gift cards will be sent directly from Amazon, so be sure to check your junk/spam and trash folders if you do not see it in your inbox.

UF Health Jacksonville/UFJPI

The 2026 Wellness Incentive Program runs from May 1^st until November 15^th.

2026 Wellness Incentive Program Requirements:

To earn the Wellness Credit, a discount on your insurance premium, simply complete the following requirements:

1. Online Health Assessment
2. Biometric Screening
3. 500 Wellness Points

Important Dates and Details:

• Deadline for reporting all wellness points: November 15, 2026
• Website to access Better You Strides: FLBlueGroupBenefits.com
• Deadline for completing the biometric screening to ensure points are uploaded in time: Oct. 31st
• Biometric screening results will be uploaded to your Better You Strides account.

UF Proton Therapy Institute

The 2026 Wellness Incentive Program runs from January 1^st until November 15^th.

2026 Wellness Incentive Program Details:

To be entered into a wellness raffle, simply complete the following requirements:

1. Complete a biometric screening at UF Health Jacksonville, Proton, or Quest (available 5/1-10/31). More details to come with dates for onsite screenings and Quest instructions via email.
2. Participate in one wellness activity or program hosted by Proton or UF Health Jacksonville (program registration required).

Important Dates and Details:

• Deadline for reporting all wellness requirements: November 15, 2026
• Biometric screening results will be uploaded to your Better You Strides account.
• Remember, our online health assessment and Better You Strides program are still available for you to use at your leisure.

UF Health Central Florida

The 2026 Wellness Incentive Program runs from January 1^st until November 30^th.

Members who participate in the Wellness Incentive Program have the opportunity to complete required activities and earn a Wellness Credit – discount on your insurance premium.

Steps and required activities for earning the Wellness Credit:

Go to FLBlueGroupBenefits.com and log into your My Health Hub account.  If this is your first time on the website click HERE for directions. Pro Tip – The prefix for all GatorCare members when logging in is UFS.
