Presentations

Intro to Wellness

This short 10-minute presentation is perfect for your next staff meeting! Review the wellness opportunities available and find out how to stay current on upcoming activities.

Beyond the Stress Ball

This powerful workshop offers practical tools for managing stress that go beyond traditional advice. You’ll learn how effective thinking, mindfulness, and relaxation techniques can lower your stress level and increase your quality of life.

Boost: Transform Your Energy

Energy is a precious resource. When you don’t take time to rest and renew at work, you deplete your energy reserves. This leaves you with little to no energy to devote to the things outside work that matter most. Learn how to work more efficiently, take a more effective work break and transform your energy. Deskercise

Feeling tied to your desk lately? You’re not alone. Many American workers have a desk job and are sedentary six to eight hours a day. In this presentation, you will learn fun and easy ways to build activity into your workday– often without even leaving your desk!

Digital Detox

Are you part of the 75% of Americans who think unplugging periodically would benefit your mental health? Have you avoided actually doing it, because you’re not sure where to start? This presentation goes over several habit changes that can help you improve your relationship with technology.

Grocery Store Tour

Learn what to look for from each aisle, compare products to become a food label pro, and get tips to find your “best fit” foods, those that taste good, are good for you, and that fit within your food budget.

We suggest the in-store tour but can also bring the tour to your conference room.

Happiness Hacks

We all wish to lead a happy life but we’ve been programmed to look for happiness in all the wrong places. What we think would make a big difference in our happiness actually doesn’t, and the things that would make a meaningful impact are often overlooked. This workshop will present twelve science-backed ways to improve your happiness today! Are you ready to be happier?

Meal Prep 101

Learn to prepare tasty, nutritious meals in advance so you don’t have to cook every day, but you still have healthy options on hand.

Mindful Eating

Weight management isn’t only about what and how much you eat. It’s about how you relate to food, eating, and your body. Why do you eat in the first place? And how do you eat? Where does your energy from eating go? In this workshop, you’ll learn how to use mindfulness to create a healthier relationship with food that can result in effortless weight management. This presentation is also available to view online!

The Purpose of Purpose

Did you know that defining and connecting to your purpose on a daily basis can improve your health, your work and your happiness? This workshop will explain the science behind purpose, help you craft your own purpose, and provide tangible ways to live ‘on purpose’ every day. This offering runs 90 minutes. A 60-minute version is available but requires participants to complete a worksheet prior to the live presentation.

Work Out, Work Better

Sore neck, shoulders, back, or other muscles? Whether you sit or stand for most of the day, you probably suffer from a not-so-ergonomically-friendly work environment. Find out which muscles to strengthen, which muscles to stretch, and how to maintain a proper posture to help you work comfortably and work better. This presentation is also available to view online!

Exercise@Work

Your job is mentally, emotionally, and physically demanding. Learn exercises to strengthen muscles that are often neglected and stretch muscles that are often overworked. Presentations can be catered to lower body and core, and upper body and cardio.

The Ketogenic diet and Whole30 diet are examples of fad diets extremely popular in our society today, promoting weight loss and other health benefits. But are these diets really delivering what they say they will? We’ll give you the word on the street about fad diets and how you can alter these diets to best fit your individual lifestyle.

Yoga for You, a 3-part series

Yoga is an ancient practice that encompasses breathing and poses in an effort to train the muscles and mind. Performing yoga daily can reduce anxiety, improve self-esteem, and improve sleep quality. This three-part series teaches beginning and intermediate poses, breathing techniques, and yoga nidra, a practice that can help you fall asleep and stay asleep!

Screenings

To schedule a screening for your department, please email GatorCare Wellness Manager, Morgan Papworth. Activities are available for all UF and UF Health employees, regardless of insurance coverage.

Body Composition Screenings

Learn your weight, BMI, body fat or body composition, and hydration levels. After the screening, meet with a health educator to review your results and discuss ways to improve your numbers.

Nutrition Experiences

Nutrition experiences require a minimum of eight attendees. Booking departments will be responsible for purchasing supplies. Email the GatorCare Wellness Manager, Morgan Papworth, to schedule.

That’s Oil Folks! Book an oil tasting experience for your office.

When it comes to cooking oils, are you not sure where to begin? Have you always been curious about which oils are the healthiest, but found conflicting information online? Wonder no more!
