Free Group Fitness Classes
Free group fitness classes are offered on a weekly basis to all employees. Classes include Strong by Zumba, Zumba, yoga, HIIT with Britt, and Pilates. Location and time vary by class. Participants do not need to sign up in advance. All participants are required to complete a waiver.

Get involved with a little healthy competition. This walking challenge will encourage you and your coworkers to get up and get moving! Participants and teams track and record their daily steps throughout the challenge and compete against other teams from UF and UF Health. The winning teams will have their team name added to the trophy and get to house the trophy until the next challenge winners are announced. The walking challenge takes place every spring and fall.

12 Tweaks to a Healthier You Resources
12 Tweaks was a program run in 2017 that encouraged a new, small and sustainable habit each month for the entire year. Check out the habits related to physical wellness including Meal Prep 101, Serving Size Surprise, Sleep, Crosstrain, Morning Mile and Focus on Fruits and Veggies.
Canoes, climbing wall, mountain bikes, sailboats, wakeboarding, waterskiing and more with a Gator 1 card that designates you as faculty, staff, spouse, partner, retired, UAA, UFF or Shands employee whose card includes a hologram and a UFID number; guests accepted at some locations.
Resources available through your Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Tobacco Free Florida, including group and one-on-one support and free or reduced cost nicotine replacement therapies such as patches, gum, and/or lozenges. Gator Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
Purchase a weekly delivery of fresh, seasonal produce from an area farmer; pick-up location available on campus.
HealthStreet provides health assessments, HIV testing and birth control counseling as well as information on local resources and UF research opportunities.
Arts in Medicine Wellness Classes
Wellness classes are offered weekly, free of charge. Classes are appropriate for individuals of any skill level, and drop-ins are welcome. Classes include meditation, Qigong and yoga.
Workout of the Week
Not sure where to start with a workout routine? UF Health Fitness and Wellness and GatorCare created the Workout of the Week series, which ran during the first quarter of 2018 (January through March). Workouts are cataloged on the GatorCare Workout of the Week page. Limited equipment may be required.
Campus Walking Maps
Take a quick 6-minute break or a full on 30-minute walk with our UF and UF Health campus walking maps.
Resistance Band Workouts
Get strong with these 5 minute upper body, lower body, and total body workouts. Use our printable handouts as a guide and check out our video demonstrations to perfect your form.
Body Composition Screenings
Provide information on weight, BMI, body fat or body composition, and hydration. After the screening, meet with a health educator to discuss your results and determine ways to improve your numbers. Contact the GatorCare Wellness Coordinator Brittany Evans at email@example.com to schedule a screening for your department or make an appointment to stop by the GatorCare office in the 1329 Building to get screened.
Outdoor Intramural Sports Leagues and Special Events
Ultimate Frisbee, softball, soccer, kickball, team tennis, sand volleyball, dodgeball, flag football and more on a competitive and recreational level.
Please note that UF RecSports membership is required for indoor intramurals.
Access Broward, Florida, Graham and O’Connell Center pools; guests accepted at some locations.
UF Health Shands Fitness and Wellness Center

UF Recreational Sports
Membership provides access to recreation and fitness facilities, group fitness classes, fitness assessment center and indoor intramurals; premium services include massage therapy, personal training and small group training.
Provided at no cost to UF Health employees and UF students in the fall of each year. NOTE: UF employees may obtain a no-cost flu shot at the annual UF Benefits Fair only.
