This walking challenge will encourage you and your coworkers to get up and get moving! Participants and teams track and record their daily steps throughout the challenge and compete against other teams from UF and UF Health. The winning teams will have their team name added to the trophy and get to house the trophy until the next challenge winners are announced.The walking challenge takes place every spring and fall.

UF Health Fitness and Wellness brings you a new workout each week during the first quarter of 2018 (January through March). Workouts will be sent to the wellness listserv during the quarter and will be catalogued on the GatorCare website. Each workout will vary and limited equipment may be required. Body Composition Screenings
Provide information on weight, BMI, body fat or body composition, and hydration. After the screening, meet with a health educator to discuss your results and determine ways to improve your numbers. Contact the GatorCare Wellness Coordinator to schedule a screening for your department or make an appointment to stop by the GatorCare office in the 1329 Building to get screened.
This free, ongoing class is offered to all UF and UF Health employees every Tuesday from 12:15-1pm in the Ustler Hall, 162 Fletcher Drive. Meet in the atrium located on the second floor. The class is appropriate for all levels and focuses on reducing stress and tension while building flexibility and strength. Led by Kim Holton.

Focus on mindful movement, stretching for relaxation, adaptive postures and breathing techniques.
Provides health assessments, HIV testing and birth control counseling as well as information on local resources and UF research opportunities.
Wellness classes are offered weekly, free of charge. Classes are appropriate for individuals of any skill level, and drop-ins are welcome. Classes include meditation, Qigong and yoga.

12 Tweaks was a program run in 2017 that encouraged a new small and sustainable habit each month for the entire year. Check out the habits related to physical wellness including: Meal Prep 101, Serving Size Surprise, Sleep, Crosstrain, Morning Mile and Focus on Fruits and Veggies.
Canoes, climbing wall, mountain bikes, sailboats, wakeboarding, waterskiing and more with a Gator 1 card that designates you as faculty, staff, spouse, partner, retired, UAA, UFF or Shands employee whose card includes a hologram and a UFID number; guests accepted at some locations.
