Meet the Team!

Mini Wellness Tip: Chop your favorite veggies and mix them ahead of time. Use the same veggie mix for multiple meals with varying flavor profiles—like peppers, onions, and mushrooms for fried rice, a chickpea curry, and a black bean burrito.

Fun Personal Detail: One of my biggest passions is musical theatre— catch me performing in local productions at theatres like Gainesville Community Playhouse and Acrosstown Repertory Theatre throughout the year!

Mini Wellness Tip: Take a 5-minute movement break to stand up, stretch, or take a short walk. Even brief movement boosts energy, improves focus, and helps reset your body during busy days.

Fun Personal Detail: I love going to see a new movie and getting lost in the story on the big screen, and I also love baking whether it’s trying a new recipe or perfecting a favorite treat, I enjoy the process and the creativity that comes with it.

Wellness Manager – Jacksonville

Jon Vredenburg

Mini Wellness Tip: Use lighthearted humor as a reset button. When stress builds, pause and tell yourself (silently or out loud) a playful one liner. It can help you reframe tension and return to calm with a lighter heart.

Fun Personal Detail: I’m not only a dietitian and diabetes educator, I’m also a stand up comedian, using humor as a teaching tool to connect and engage with people.

Jonathan Vredenburg

Wellness Educator and Registered Dietitian – Jacksonville

Dana Gardner

Mini Wellness Tip: Start by adding instead of subtracting. Focus on including colorful fruits, vegetables, and whole foods on your plate to naturally crowd out less nourishing choices.

Fun Personal Detail: I publish a weekly Food for Thought blog on the GatorCare website.

Christine Cummings

Mini Wellness Tip: Every step counts.  If you find yourself seated for more than 30 minutes get up and move.  Take the long way to the restroom at work, walk around your house during commercials or add in a flight of stairs.  Improve your overall health by creating movement throughout your day.

Fun Personal Detail: I have traveled to all 50 states, many countries and hiked to hundreds of waterfalls.
