Our Nursing Staff deserve recognition all year round for their dedication to bringing the best quality medical care to our patients. In honor of National Nurses Week 2024, please share a message of gratitude, encouragement, or love for the UF Health Shands Nursing Staff who have contributed to the overall well-being of the community they serve. • Thank you so much for all the work you do! Your hard work and perseverance have inspired me so much during these difficult times. Don’t forget to take care of yourself and remember how much we appreciate you!
• Thank you for staying strong and sacrificing your health for others. Because of you, I am confident that my community, family, and friends are getting the care they need! As someone who would like to go to university for healthcare I have been inspired to go through with my decision. Seeing the commitment you all have towards your job makes me respect you all greatly. I know you are tired and some days may even question going into work but we see your determination. Not all heroes wear capes, some wear masks too!  Keep up the great work, and thanks again for everything you do!

• Hi! I am Lahin from the Southwest region of Texas! First of all I would like to say thank you for everything you all do. Genuinely! It isn’t easy to get into this industry, nor is it easier to stay in it. Hats off!  As a seventeen year-old, its tough having to begin deciding what my career choices will be and whether or not they are the right ones. Entrepreneurs and influencers like you help me made that decision. Well, also Grey’s Anatomy! Truly, I admire the strength needed to take care of every patient and individual within jurisdictions. I hear you, even though I may not be able to do much about it, want you to know that I am proud and grateful to you for your service. Thank you for hustling for the younger generation and choosing to dedicate your time for the lives of others. Thank you for treating us with humbling gestures and kindness. Thank you for your innovation and role-modeling of the future of medical science. And again, thank you for being an amazing person altogether! It takes capability and guts!    P.S. • Hello healthcare workers, my name is Sakib Ahmed and I am a junior at John R. Lewis High School. Hope is something that shines brightest at dark times and you guys are making it shine even brighter. Tirelessly working long shifts and giving aid to those who need it are things only superheroes do, and I think you guys are doing exactly that. There is only so much that I, as a high school student, can do to relieve some of the stress that is prevalent in your job, but I hope this letter helps alleviate some of that stress.
