Electronic Cigarettes
E-cigarettes, or vapes, are electronic devices that simulate tobacco smoking. When the user inhales, a liquid – which usually contains nicotine, flavoring, and other chemicals – is heated and inhaled in the form of vapor. Today, e-cigarettes are the most commonly used tobacco product among youth.

University of Florida AHEC
The UF Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) Program in partnership with Tobacco Free Florida offers free classes to help you quit. Participate in a one-time, two hour Tools to Quit class and receive two to four weeks of free nicotine replacement products ( if medically appropriate and 18 years or older). Classes are offered twice a day Monday through Friday and are available in-person and online. All classes are open to the public.

Looking to quit nicotine use of any kind, like hookah, tobacco, cigarettes, cigars, or vapes? Tobacco Free Florida offers free smoking cessation programs such as Text2Quit, personalized coaching sessions with a Quit Coach®, a 2- week starter kit of nicotine replacement therapy (if medically appropriate and 18 years or older), and Web Quit, which offers a personalized online plan for those quitting on their own.
