Counseling is a covered service under the GatorCare plan, whether you are interested in short-term care like pre-marital counseling or long-term care with a therapist. Counseling involves communicating with your provider to establish your mental health goals and then working together to achieve those goals.

Experience free and confidential online mental health counseling services with Talkspace. Engage with your therapist via live video sessions or via asynchronous text messaging. This service is available to GatorCare members ages 18+.
Therapists in the New Directions network are available to GatorCare members at the Tier 1 level. Use the online portal to find a provider near you, or call 866-287-9569 for assistance finding a provider.
UF Health Psychology offers counseling services for a wide range of conditions, including phobias, social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorders, and more. Speak to your primary care provider to request a referral for services.
