What is a Wellness Partner?

Wellness Partners are representatives from departments across UF and UF Health who play a vital role in supporting employee wellness. Partners disseminate information, set up presentations, and encourage participation in wellness initiatives. Partners also provide valuable feedback to help the UF & UF Health Wellness Committee build a culture of health.

Partner Responsibilities

As a Wellness Partner, your time commitment will be about 2-3 hours per month. In addition to attending the monthly Wellness Partner Coffee Chat, you will also disseminate information to employees about upcoming events, answer basic questions about wellness events and resources, and help the Wellness Committee understand the needs of your population, providing feedback and suggestions from your area. Note: You do not need to be a GatorCare member to be a Wellness Partner. All UF/UF Health employees are welcome to apply.

How do I become a Wellness Partner?

First, you will need to obtain supervisory approval to act in this role for your unit or college. Next, complete a brief online application (Note: All eligible applicants will be approved). Afterwards, you will be contacted by Wellness Committee Co-Chairs Mallory Rubek and Yusof Al-Wadei to welcome you to the new role and set up a welcome call.

Any Questions?

Contact Mallory Rubek (GatorCare) or Yusof Al-Wadei (UFHR Wellness) with any questions you might have prior to applying.
